Access to Honda OEM Parts

When it comes to collision repair, there are two types of parts that are used to conduct replacements:

  1. Third-party aftermarket parts
  2. Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts

While aftermarket parts can be suitable for many repairs, they don’t always perfectly match the size or color of the original part, which can lead to functional and aesthetic concerns. As a Honda ProFirst Certified shop, we have access to OEM parts that are made on-site in Honda factories. With OEM parts, we can return your car to its original condition and specifications.

What To Expect – Our Process

You don’t have to settle for less. It isn’t just the quality of repairs that sets Mackin’s apart. It’s also our commitment to customer service and satisfaction. Getting in an accident is stressful enough as it is. Our repair process is designed to limit hassle and stress and get your Honda back to you in tip-top shape, without any unnecessary inconvenience.

Every repair is unique, but we always use the same proven strategies to ensure a smooth process.

Here are the steps involved in a typical Honda repair:

1. Assess the Damage

The Honda repair process at Mackin’s always begins with a comprehensive exam and inspection of your vehicle. Before we propose any repairs, we need to identify the type and severity of the damage caused by the accident.

2. Order Parts and Materials

Once you’ve made the choice to work with Mackin’s, our team will order any OEM Honda parts and components we need to restore your vehicle to its original factory condition.

3. Coordinate Temporary Transportation

At Mackin’s, we aim to make the repair process as convenient as possible. We’re happy to make rental car arrangements for you, or you can use our free courtesy shuttle service, which will transport you from our shop to your home or workplace.

4. Disassemble Damaged Areas

Our technicians will carefully disassemble all the collision-impacted areas of your vehicle. This allows us to get a closer look and identify any hidden damage that might not have been visible during the initial inspection. If we identify any additional repairs that may be required, we’ll contact you right away to answer your questions and get your approval.

5. Correct Body and Frame Damage

After disassembling all damaged components, we can get started on repairs. As a Honda certified shop, we use the highest quality, specialized equipment and materials to conduct all body and frame repairs, which may include: frame and panel realignment, dent repair, and bumper and fender repair or replacement.

6. Refinish Car Exterior

Once the repairs have been done and our final inspection is complete, we’ll get to work refinishing your car so it looks as good as new. At Mackins, we use environmentally friendly paint from BASF along with advanced color-matching software to get the perfect finish!

7. Clean Up and Return to You

Once refinishing is complete and your car has been restored to its original factory specifications, we’ll clean up and vacuum your car’s interior so it looks fresh and new as you drive it home. We’re always available to answer any follow-up questions you have about the repairs we completed.

What Our Customers Are Saying

Absolutely fantastic service and repair! Alena the GM personally came out to inspect my vehicle. She clearly explained the repair process and a few possible part delays. Ryan was the technician and was meticulous during the repair, looking afterward every clip was where it should be and the vehicle looked better than new! The paintwork from Pavel was also top notch – so much so I’ll be going back to get a few scuffs taken care of as well. No signs of paint blending or anything, the car just looks new again!”

-Kyle Morgan

I’ve had to use both shops on Broadway and 65th and have always had a good experience. Always great about communication and making sure my car looks great in the end. Such nice folks in both shops. Really personable and professional. Highly recommend!”

– Elizabeth Coopman

Couldn’t recommend a place more! Great customer service, and great work. Danny always kept me in the loop on the status of my vehicle and was very helpful. Whenever my car needs help, I know Mackins will do an awesome job!”
